Red_Bender
High speed photo of two bent glasses. I melted the stems of these glasses using a propane torch and bent them into right angles...(well almost..) Set up - Glasses were mounted on a home built, sliding table. - Flashes were triggered with a Stop Shot unit using an IR photodetector trigger. - Two SB-800 flashes were used, one behind and one set at 11 o'clock, snooted and set to optical slave mode to highlight the front.

Gurgle
Water splashing into a glass --- or is it? Looks can be deceiving.... Strobist - SB800 behind frosted acrylic sheet, bounced off foamboard. - HiViz Schmitt photogate trigger with delay - custom built sliding table. - Used Picacsa for some cropping and saturation colors. Used Photoshop elements to remove an errant drop -- otherwise, the picture is as taken......

When this occurs. the flash is triggered, capturing the splash. - Hiviz Schmitt photogate trigger with delay circuit used to trigger flash. - 1 - SB-800 flash set to 1/8 th power behind glass. Reflected off white background. - Ping pong ball was set in glass and ejected at time of splash. - Water was colored blue with food coloring. - Post processing done in Lightroom 3.

Red_v_Green
High speed photography Red and Green colored water. Used quaketronics flash controller, sound activated, American DJ Snap Shot II strobe behind frosted plexi sheet, behind glasses. Created by mounting each glass on a sliding table. The tables then collided into one another, causing the splash effect.

Distortion
Mounted a glass on sliding table which stops abruptly causing a splash effect. Table triggers a flash mounted behind glass. I placed some mini-blinds behind the screen to make a pattern which would distort in the splash. Strobist; - SB-800 set behind screen, set to 1/8th power. - Triggered using HiViz Schmitt photo-gate trigger with delay circuit. - Custom built sliding table and frosted acrylic background. - Set up mini-blinds behind screen to make lines

Fetch_Red
High speed photo of two glasses on a sliding table. Table slides and stops abruptly causing a splash effect. I see a boy, a ball and his dog. Minor editing to remove one errant drop, shot was cropped and increased saturation. Otherwise, shot is as captured. Strobist info; - Quaketronics flash controller, mic activated. - Custom built sliding table. - SB-800 fired off foam board and through frosted plexi screen from behind.

Strobist / setup - Custom built sliding table. - HiViz Schmitt photogate trigger with delay circuit used. - 1 - SB-800 fired below and bounced off foamboard. (Different setup then other shots -- I like it.) - One glass had colored water - the other had.....a slighty denser mixture.... - Picasa used for lighting levels, cropping and saturation.
